Former Metro Bus Converted to "Grocery Store on Wheels"

A bus once used by Valley Metro and the City of Phoenix has been converted into a traveling grocery store,  selling healthy and affordable food. Known as Fresh Express, the bus will make stops in the food desert located between downtown Phoenix and downtown Tempe, Arizona.  A food desert is an area with little or no access to healthy foods. According to the website, the bus will visit "schools, senior centers and other key community gathering places in underserved neighborhoods."
