Beginning in 2016, the Regional Transportation District, or RTD, will provide bus rapid transit (BRT) service between Denver and Boulder. The service, nicknamed the "Flatiron Flyer," will cover 18 miles, include six new stations, and is expected to take 26 minutes on its trip from Denver's Union Station to Boulder.

According to a recent article in Boulder's Daily Camera, "the new line will also include enhanced stations with canopies, ticket vending machines, programmable information displays, upgraded security and improved station furniture."
