Public Comment Notice: Statewide Transportation Plan

CDOT invites the public to comment on the recently released draft Statewide Transportation Plan. Using the input of more than 60,000 citizens, ten Transportation Planning Regions and five Metropolitan Planning Organizations, CDOT has written its blueprint for investment in the next 10 to 25 years. CDOT believes that in addition to improvements in the highway system, there should also be investment in transit, rail, aviation, freight, bicycling and pedestrian travel. In the shorter term, CDOT has identified priority corridors for focus in the next decade; for the longer term, the plan identifies strategies to address transportation needs, revenue and funding gaps in order to meet the plan’s goals.

The public can view the entire plan and provide comment using www.coloradotransportationmatters.com through January 4, 2015. The interactive website allows users to view individual regions and transportation plans for their area.
