On Tuesday, Larimer County commissioners approved a resolution which would use extra tax revenues gained from higher property valuations to build a $5 Million fund for transportation and other regional projects that benefit residents. Larimer County expects to use the transportation funds to leverage further grants from the federal government and the Colorado Department of Transportation. The eight cities and towns in Larimer County verbally agreed to send funding back to the county for the work on I-25. Larimer County has named I-25 bridges over the Poudre, Big Thompson, and Little Thompson rivers and the St. Vrain Creek as its priority.
