U.S. 34 closure to begin Monday

Starting Monday, October 17, US 34 will close between Drake and Cedar Cove. Closing the three-mile section will allow CDOT to work on a section damaged in the 2013 floods in a quicker time frame, rather than having a partial closure. The VanGo Vanpool service has been awarded permits to provide service through the construction. If VanGo Vanpool is not an option, CDOT suggests a detour through SH 66 to Lyons and US 36 to Estes Park. Residents will be allowed to commute through at specific times of day.
