Drivers on I-25 will most likely have noticed the Berthoud Hill Climbing Lane on I-25 - located between mile markers 245 and 249 - has opened. The steep hill sees a large amount of truck traffic, which slows down. The southbound lane adds a third option to maintain the 75 MPH speeds along the interstate. Additional construction will occur in April to add a final layer of asphalt, but the road is ready for travel. Overall, the project cost $10.3 Million and is expected for completion in July 2017.
