Owners of the land surrounding the intersection at I-25 and
Prospect Road announced Monday that they will contribute $7 million to build a
new interchange when the interstate is widened in 2018. The contributing
landowners include Fort Collins/I-25 Interchange Corner LLC, CSU Research
Foundation, and two others. Fort Collins has agreed to contribute another $7
million while CDOT will foot the remainder of the bill. The partnership will
allow the bridge to facilitate the increasing traffic volumes associated with
future development around Fort Collins’ most undeveloped interchange.
