Starting the week of January 9, Lincoln Ave. traffic across the Poudre River
will need to follow detour signs as the bridge is demolished. The bridge replacement is the second phase of a project to improve safety and
mobility for all travelers along the Lincoln Corridor. Poudre Trail between
Lincoln Ave. and Linden St. bridges will also be closed. The project will cost about
$5.4 million and last roughly six months. Businesses will remain open along
Lincoln Ave. but closures will be put in place to discourage traffic diversion through the
Buckingham neighborhood. Upon completion, travelers can expect sidewalks, bicycle
lanes, and a landscaped median along the bridge.
