One year in, Fort Collins Bike Share is expanding

Zagster, the bike share platform operating at 17 locations across Fort Collins, is adding two new stations in May. After nearly a year in operation and some 5,500 rides, program coordinators plan to open stations at the Village on Redwood housing development and at the intersection of West Elizabeth and Street and City Park Avenue in West Campus.

The program offers an automated checkout system to rent bikes 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Zagster delivered over 1,000 more rides than its predecessor, The Fort Collins Bike Library, in its first year. Maintenance and expansion of the program is dependent on sponsors. Looking forward, Director Stacy Sebeczek is seeking new sponsorships that will add specialty bikes to accommodate riders with certain disabilities.
