Smart City Partnership in Colorado Promises to Cut Congestion, Improve Roadway Safety

A partnership between TransitScreen and Panasonic promises to use big data to deliver a “seamless experience” that provides Colorado residents and visitors with real-time information about transit and local events. Integrating the “internet of things” (IoT) into transit and transportation decision making aims to increase safety, reduce travel time, and improve the transportation user experience. This is part of the Colorado Department of Transportation’s larger plan to create a “data ecosystem,” which seeks to enhance the operational efficiency of all of the state’s transportation systems.
