On Wednesday, May 30, you can get updates and provide input on the US 34 Planning and Environmental Linkages (PEL) Study and Loveland US 34 Access Control Plan at a public meeting in Loveland. The public meeting will inform and gather input from the public on the study, access control plan, vision for the corridor, and potential alternatives.

The public meeting will be held at the Embassy Suites Loveland at 4705 Clydesdale Parkway from 5-7 p.m. with a presentation at 5:30 pm.

The US 34 PEL study focuses on the US 34 corridor from west of Loveland in Larimer County to the east of Greeley in Weld County. One outcome of the PEL study will be an implementation plan which addresses safety and mobility needs in the US 34 corridor and identifies immediate and long-term projects. The project team will be presenting roadway, intersection, and interchange alternatives that support the corridor vision.

The Loveland US 34 Access Control Plan will improve safety by managing the location and design of intersections and driveways (access points) along US 34 west of I-25. As development in northern Colorado increases travel demand, one of the best ways to keep highways safe and efficient is to limit access points to reduce potential vehicle conflicts. When access points are controlled with an Access Control Plan, traffic can move more efficiently and safely along a corridor.
