Gardner Announces Nearly $7 Million for North I-25

On Friday, Senator Cory Gardner announced the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will receive $6.97M in unobligated Fiscal Year 2016 federal funding from the Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER) grant program.

The funding will go toward the North Interstate 25 Phase I project, which extends from SH402 to SH14. CDOT was originally awarded a $15M federal TIGER grant for the project in 2016.

“I’m thrilled the Colorado Department of Transportation will receive additional funding for North I-25, and I’ll keep fighting to support projects and priorities for Colorado,” said Senator Gardner. “This nearly $7 million will continue improvements on the roadway for the many Coloradans and visitors who rely on it every day, and I’m pleased the Department of Transportation continues to recognize how important this project is to the people and economy of the Centennial state.”
