Trains rerouted from Fort Collins to Greeley

As of February 4, trains are now running on the Great Western Railway tracks between Windsor and Greeley. Great Western Railway is owned by OmniTRAX, which paid $14 Million to renovate the track. The refurbished track has been inactive since 2008 but will cut the train's journey from 19 miles to seven miles. Using the GWR track will cut down on the number of trains passing through the Union Pacific tracks, which can cause delays at the intersection of Riverside and Lemay.
