Pitkin Bikeway will be new east-west bike thoroughfare

Last night,the City of Fort Collins held their first Open House for the Pitkin Bikeway. The project builds on the 2014 Bicycle Master Plan to create "low-stress bicycle" routes across the city. The Pitkin Bikway would make use of Pitkin Street, Springfield Drive, Castlerock Drive, and Clearview Drive to make an east-west route connecting Riverside Avenue to Overland Trail. Suggestions for route improvements include signal upgrades, new striping and signage, bicycle lanes and alignments, and sidewalk and ramp modifications.
