A public open house will be held to provide information about planned
additional lanes on I-25 and other transportation issues including
interim improvements planned for early construction, commuter rail
updates, and planned 2015 express bus service.
The open house will be from 5-7:30 p.m. on Oct. 8 at the Southwest
Weld County Services Complex, 4209 Weld County Rd 24 ½ in Longmont. A
presentation on the I-25 project is scheduled for 5:45 p.m.
The planned I-25 improvements include adding one additional lane in each direction of I-25 from 120th
Avenue to State Highway (SH) 7. The additional lane will be a tolled
express lane, open to buses, carpools and vanpools for free and also to
single and double occupant vehicles, if they pay a toll. It will connect
to the improvements under construction from 120th Avenue south to the existing tolled express lanes at US 36, providing a continuous tolled express lane from SH 7 to Denver.
The open house will provide information on the anticipated schedule and provide opportunity for public questions and comment.
