A new compressed natural gas (CNG) station opened in West Greeley earlier this week. X3Energy partnered with Ward Petroleum Corp. to open the station, which will be open for both public and private entities. This is the sixth X3 Energy CNG station in Weld County; other stations are located in east Greeley, Firestone, Kersey, Platteville, and Fort Lupton. According to Weld County Commissioner Barbara Kirkmeyer, opening of this station means Weld County reached its smart energy plan goal to have eight to 10 CNG stations readily available.
