2045 Regional Transit Element available for public comment thru August 31, 2018

Staff at the North Front Range Metropolitan Planning Organization have been working on the 2045 Regional Transit Element (2045 RTE) for the past year. Updated every four years, the RTE is the long-range transit vision for the area covered by the NFRMPO. Previous versions of the plan have led to investment in FLEX, the Poudre Express, and other projects that have expanded the reach and roll of transit in the NFRMPO region.

The 2045 RTE is broken into six chapters, including: existing conditions (both socioeconomic and transit-related), financial analysis, and scenario and alternatives analysis. Based on this information, NFRMPO staff drafted a recommendation for corridors for investment, policies to improve transit connectivity across our municipalities, and performance measures.

Public comment is open through August 31 for the draft version of the 2045 RTE. Comments can be sent to Alex Gordon and Sarah Martin who will incorporate the edits into the final version.

The Plan is available for download at https://nfrmpo.org/wp-content/uploads/2045-rte-draft.pdf.
