CDOT launches new online snowplow tracking system

CDOT is launching a new system providing near real-time location information for its snow plow fleet. Much like systems in use on bus systems, the automated vehicle locator (AVL) system tracks the snow plow's location and posts online which areas have been plowed. The expectation is for people to use the information to plan trips and make better travel decisions in inclement weather.
