Official urges drivers to practice caution as Garden City becomes more walkable

October is National Pedestrian Safety Month as designated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), and Garden City has been making investments to improve pedestrian safety in the Weld County town. Three crosswalks have been installed along 8th Avenue, with the most recent one completed at 27th Street Road. The crosswalks feature pedestrian safety aspects like signage and flashing lights as well as a speed limit in the area of 25 MPH. Town officials want to make Garden City a more walkable town and safety is an important aspect of that effort.
